Two comedy powerhouses combine forces in this high-energy stand-up show. Annie is a regular on TV and radio, while Maitreyi is making a splash with her Australian debut.

Annie and Maitreyi will have 30 minutes each to entertain you with their freshest and funniest material. This hilarious pair first became friends while performing in vibrant Hong Kong, where Maitreyi has lived for over 20 years.

The two comedians instantly hit it off and share a love for witty jokes, relatable storytelling and unwavering authenticity.

The show’s official title is Daughter from Another Otter. Why? Because it appears there is no other catchy way to summarise Annie and Maitreyi’s relationship. Perhaps, if they had both been born as otters, they would have been mother and daughter? We’ll never truly know. But one thing’s for sure: Annie and Maitreyi’s comedy is ‘otterly’ hilarious.

About Annie:

Annie has performed all across Australia and internationally, including several appearances at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Sydney Comedy Festival. She was the subject of an episode of Australian Story (ABC TV) in 2023. As a writer and broadcaster, Annie’s latest work is a documentary called Cross Border Comedy (ABC TV) about the comedy scene in Asia, which also features Maitreyi.

About Maitreyi:

Maitreyi is a multifaceted talent who shines on stage as a stand-up comedian, pulls you in as an actor and opens her heart as a philanthropist. She has sold out 10 solo shows in Hong Kong, and her impactful Tedx talk titled ‘Age is Not Just a Number, It’s a Journey’ has resonated with over 300,000 viewers. Beyond the stage, Maitreyi is the visionary founder and CEO of KOMA KARANTH FOUNDATION, a charity dedicated to constructing homes for underprivileged people in the Philippines.
