Shai De Vletter-Sont, 34, has been a practicing artist for over 15 years. His work is both bold and lyrical, marked by a masterful use of colour that draws inspiration from his Mozambican childhood and his studies at renowned art institutions.

As an individual on the autism spectrum, painting serves as both a medium of self-expression and a vital tool for maintaining his mental well-being. With over 30 group exhibitions to his name, this marks Shai’s fourth solo show.

Shai’s achievements include artwork acquired by the University of Sydney and UNSW and participation in the Archibald Prize. Shai’s art journey includes training at Sydney College of the Arts, National Art School, and private mentorship. Collectors admire his innate grasp of colour and expressive forms, creating works that resonate deeply.
