Fall in love with cinema at Queer Screen's 32nd Mardi Gras Film Festival, running from 13 to 27 February in Sydney!

With over 140 of the world’s best LGBTQIA+ films across 72 sessions at Event Cinemas, Dendy Newtown, Ritz Randwick, The Rocks Laneway Cinema, and more, this year’s line-up promises something for everyone.

Catch must-see premieres like the World Premiere of In Ashes, a raw debut from Denmark, plus 20 Australian premieres, including a dazzling profile of an enduring gay icon in LIZA: A Truly Terrific Absolutely True StoryDrive Back Home starring Alan Cumming, Cannes Queer Palm winner Three Kilometres to the End of the World, and the poignant period drama Lilies Not for Me.

Building on the success of last year’s The Sound of Music singalong, we’re reprising the fun-filled event with none other than Whoopi Goldberg’s Sister Act on the big screen, accompanied by sinful shenanigans from the Sisters and Brothers of The Order of Perpetual Indulgence, Sydney, and the uplifting harmonies of the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Choir.

Can’t attend in person? Stream festival highlights nationwide from 28 February to 10 March during the on-demand season.

Join us for an unforgettable celebration of queer cinema—stories that inspire, challenge, and connect. For the full schedule and tickets, visit queerscreen.org.au or use the Queer Screen app.

See you at the festival!
