Part performance party, part exhibition and part immersive community space, The Bearded Tit in Redfern is hosting an exciting new collaboration of trash monsters by performance collective Deep Sea Astronauts from January 14th to March 28th 2025.

Beasties are borne of a coalescence of queer performance fabulousness – of the broken, discarded detritus that litters the floor when the party’s over.

Four main artist and twelve incredible performers have collaborated on this show. On display will be creature costumes created by Deep Sea Astronauts/Alli Sebastian Wolf, a video work by Maisie Cohen of the performers embodying the costumes, illustrations parading down the laneway by Limax Maximus and a score for the entire collection created by Sam Chen filling the restrooms in a immersive activation of space.

Artworks by: Deep Sea Astronauts/Alli Sebastian Wolf, Limax Maximus, Maisie Cohen, Sam Chen

Performances by: Emma Maye/ Betty Grumble, Dia Spice, Rachel Dade, Yolanda Frost, Dyan Tai, Kohei Saiuchi, Loc Nguyen, Jiggy, Gideon Payten-Griffiths, Les Beau Fierce, Izzy Ashido
