Meet at the Sydney Park Kiosk
When

Friday 13 March from 8am to 9am

To celebrate World Wildlife Day, take a refreshing morning stroll around Sydney Park’s vibrant wetlands.

We’ll shine a spotlight on the unique roles and contributions of wildlife to people and planet.

Join the City of Sydney’s urban ecology coordinator to peel back the layers of this urban oasis and uncover the hidden stories of the plants and animals that call it home.

From migratory birds resting here on their epic international journeys to the clever wetland systems quietly cleaning and filtering our city’s stormwater, Sydney Park is full of surprises.

Along the walk, you’ll discover how these wetlands enrich urban living, support biodiversity and help create a healthier city for us all.

You'll also learn simple ways each of us can help local wildlife thrive.

Wear enclosed shoes and dress for the weather. For your safety, this event may be postponed or cancelled in extreme weather.

All ages are welcome but children must be accompanied by an adult.

Free but bookings recommended, book online.

If you enjoy getting out and about in nature join us for Look up and listen – a microbat walk and talk at Johnstons Creek in Annandale on 16 April.
