Take me to a place I haven’t been

Abstract art exhibition. This a solo exhibition by artist Hilary Hatfield in Sydney at Ellipsis Gallery, Level 1, 41 Crown Street, above Viand restaurant, Woolloomooloo.

My paintings are often quite large with exciting bright colours. Nature always inspires me and I hope the viewer will also be inspired to look further into the abstract nature of a painting, noticing the tones, brush strokes, texture and shapes.

I encourage them to engage their senses with my work without the constraints of trying to understand the meaning, and so let the shape, colour and texture stand alone and 'speak' to them.
