Tuesdays, Wednesdays, 12pm to 4pm Tuesday 26 May to Wednesday 10 June Thursday 4 June from 6pm to 8pm
Through photographs, objects and archival material, the exhibition traces the evolution of technical, vocational and applied learning in New South Wales and the important role TAFE NSW has played in building Australia’s skilled workforce and shaping modern Australia.
The exhibition explores how vocational education has adapted to changing technologies, economic priorities, and social needs over more than a century, while also highlighting the growing accessibility and impact of skills-based learning across communities and industries.
Located at the historic Ultimo campus, The Muse Gallery sits within one of NSW’s earliest centres for technical education and innovation. Since 1893, Ultimo has played a significant role in delivering practical training and expanding access to education, making it a fitting home for an exhibition celebrating the history and future of vocational learning.
