Are you a parent on the Lower North Shore seeking support for a child who self-harms?

Our program, "Supporting Parents: Navigating Self-Harm in Children," is tailored to provide you with the tools and understanding your needs. Led by experienced child psychologist, this event combines online group sessions with the option for personalized in-person consultations.

Online Sessions:

Session 1: Understanding Self-Harm

  • Gain insights into the psychological factors and triggers of self-harm. Our child psychologist will discuss common myths, signs, and the emotional landscape of children who self-harm.

Session 2: Effective Communication Strategies

  • Learn how to communicate effectively with your child. This session focuses on building trust, active listening, and creating a safe environment for open dialogue.

Session 3: Building a Supportive Environment

  • Discover ways to foster a supportive home environment and learn about resources available. We’ll cover coping strategies and how to access professional help.

In-Person Sessions (optional)

For those seeking more personalised support, book additional in-person sessions with our child psychologists. These sessions offer tailored advice and strategies specific to your family's needs.
