Twirl Tries It All: Live at Tumbalong
Join us for a fun, free Sunday morning session bringing the magic of Twirl to life on the Tumbalong Park stage.
Dr Joshua Pate (UTS researcher and children’s author) will share a live reading of Twirl Tries It All - a story that’s getting kids moving and helping families talk about activity in a whole new way. The team from Ready Set Dance will bring the dance floor to the park, leading an interactive movement session for kids of all ages.
Expect music, storytelling, and plenty of groovin’ - a perfect way for SXSW Sydney Conference pass holders to return with their children for an energetic and joyful encore to the panel session.

It's coming to SXSW Sydney Unlocked with a program of dance workshops and performances. Learn dances that have gone viral from the 2025 Red Bull Dance Your Style National Final competitors and vote for your favourite crews as they battle it out.

Practice your moves, then be part of the crew! A global sensation - Kpop Random Play Dance! Let's make this the biggest Kpop event Sydney has ever seen. 2hrs of non-stop dance magic right in the heart of Tumbalong Park. Fan Cams will be working over-time, plenty of big screen time for you and your friends. SXSW Sydney and the Hallyuverse are joining forces to bring you this very special event.
