Saturday 25 October from 2pm to 3pm
The University of Sydney Madrigal Society is proud to present Stillness and Sound, an afternoon of a cappella music resonating through the unique spaces of the Chau Chak Wing Museum.
This concert explores how sound lingers across time, memory, and place, through songs of love, loss, and longing.
The programme spans centuries and styles: from the Renaissance madrigals of John Bennet, Jacques Arcadelt, and Claudio Monteverdi, to the beautiful folk settings of Gustav Holst’s ‘I Love My Love’ and Jón Ásgeirsson’s ‘Vísur Vatnsenda-Rósu’.
Join us and hear how the past continues to sound.
