On the night these incredibly talented musicians will take you on a musical journey to the land of Cossacks with an exciting mix of historic and contemporary tunes and songs from all corners of Ukraine. Clap, tap, dance and sing along to your heart’s delight! A fun night for the whole family!

Formed in 2016, Jaga Band has entertained audiences with their distinctive celebration of traditional songs and dances inspired from across the Carpathian region, rich and diverse in influences from Ukraine. Jaga Band uniquely incorporates authentic Eastern European instruments the sopilka, accordion, cymbalom and violin, to bring to life traditional songs of love, loss and heroism that encourage and inspire audiences to dance and sing along.
As members of various bands and orchestras, Jaga Band musos have been successful performers in various major music events for years – locally and internationally. This is their successful experience gathering together to show off the great mix of Eastern European Culture.
Led by multi-instrumentalist and singer Mar’yana Sywak, Jaga Band has been successfully performing at a variety of major music events such as – Sydney Fringe Festival, the Illawarra Folk Festival, Pearls of the Season Festival (Ukraine), Maslenitsa Festival at Darling Harbour, International Accordion Festival and Competition, Northern Beaches Music Festival, Ukifest, Eurofest as well many Ukrainian Community and other Multicultural Events around Australia, as well maintaining busy local gigs schedule.
