The Shanghai Chinese Orchestra makes its long-awaited Australian debut with New Oriental Chinese Music Scene celebrating the elegance and vitality of Chinese musical traditions.
The concert performed by over 70 extraordinary musicians under the dynamic direction of Maestro Tang Muhai blends ancient melodies Shanghai-style folk and contemporary masterpieces in a unique East-meets-West soundscape. Highlights include Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon composed by Tan Dun and Silk Road by Jiang Ying.
