Shady Nasty: TREK at Phoenix Central Park

Where
Phoenix Central Park
Phoenix Central Park
37-49 O’Connor Street, Chippendale NSW 2008
When

Thursday 20 February from 7pm to 8pm

Shady Nasty is a Sydney-based trio. With a distinctive harbour-city twang, the band harnesses the digital age and branded totems of culture to speak of masculinity amidst the growing blur of our on and offline identities.

Pushing the boundaries of hip-hop and punk, SN’s impact is as visual as it is sonic: glitchy and hypnotic imagery set against baritone spoken-word, pitch-shifting autotune and sample-coded instrumentation.

This intimate pre-release show at Phoenix will see the band perform their debut album TREK live for the first time. The Sydney band have carved out a compelling niche at the boundary of alternative punk and contemporary hip-hop. Sparking notoriety since 2017, their work harnesses the digital age and branded totems of culture to explore masculinity and the growing blur of our on and offline footprint.

Tickets are free, available via ballot only.
