Where
1/148 Goulburn St
Surry Hills NSW 2010
When

Sunday 10 November from 10am to 11:30am

Join us for a delightful 90-minute nerikiri workshop where you'll learn the art of crafting traditional Japanese confections inspired by the beauty of early summer for the month of November.

In this hands-on session, you will create two exquisite nerikiri sweets: a brilliant peony and a hydrangea.

Afterward, you'll experience the art of whisking your own bowl of Simply Native’s matcha to pair with the sweets you made. You'll also have the opportunity to take one of your handcrafted sweets home.

Nerikiri wagashi is a type of traditional Japanese confectionery renowned for its intricate designs and delicate flavours. Each piece is meticulously crafted to reflect the changing seasons, festivals, and various elements of nature, showcasing the artistry and cultural heritage of Japan. Often enjoyed during tea ceremonies, these elegant sweets are appreciated for their subtle sweetness and beautiful presentation, embodying the Japanese philosophy of harmony and attention to detail.
