Just thirty seconds from the famous red glow of the Kings Cross Coca-Cola sign, Sean & Dolly’s hums beneath William Street’s side hustle surface - a sultry, speakeasy basement bar pumping soul, swag, and live music into the bones of what was once Sydney’s wildest after-dark playground.
Sean & Dolly’s isn’t just another bar - it’s a sanctuary for sound. A place where jazz meets funk, locals meet legends, and the groove doesn’t rest!
Since opening in March, Sean and Dolly have hosted some of Australia’s finest musicians - from jazz to blues, funk and soul — all drawn together in a temple of groove to stir something raw, real, wildly fun and unforgettable.
Curated by well reputed musician Sean McKenzie, a backline for music is always at the ready, with Sean on keys and a different line up of hand picked musicians each night. Special nights with bands and artists are also offered. Check the website and facebook page for who is playing each night.
Did someone say Cocktails?!! ... In this dim-lit den of delight, these aren’t just drinks - they’re performers in the room. Declarations in liquid form: bold, offbeat, and impossibly clever. Crafted not just to taste good, but to spark connection, mischief, and cheeky charm. Each drink arrives with intent and attitude - a backstory, a musical nod, a wink, a twist, a dedication. From the ‘Re-imagined’ Classic Cocktails to Sean & Dolly’s ‘Signature Setlist’, e v e r y cocktail is a song in a glass, where each pour writes a new verse to your evening.
Always inclusive, Sean & Dolly’s have a Cheeky Hour every night from 5.30pm - 7pm.
Giving back to the industry , Monday night is Industry Night, for the bartenders, musos, waitstaff, kitchen pirates, door gods, floor legends, and all those with battle scars from the weekend shift.

Open 7 days from 5:30pm til 2am (Sundays til midnight), Sean and Dolly’s can be found at Basement , 220 William street, Woolloomooloo, 1 minute from the X and Kings Cross station.
