Sea Waste Sculptures Workshop

Where
30 Carrington Rd
Marrickville NSW 2204
Australia
When

Tuesday 22 April from 10am to 3pm

Cost

Starting from: $80

Reverse Garbage has been inspired by the amazing work at the Sea Bin Foundation and wants to inspire kids to care for their local waterways. This workshop will cover what lives in our local bodies of water and what waste ends up in there as well. Each child will pick their favourite local sea animal to make a simple sculpture of using cardboard and materials that have been prevented from going to landfill and reclaimed from our waterways.

The sculptures utilise a transparent body that shows the various types of waste that Sea Bin has removed from the Sydney Harbour, as well as materials that Reverse Garbage has prevented from going to landfill.

Students will also paint their own backgrounds using a range of mark-making techniques.

This is a fun, beginner-friendly course focused on local wildlife and understanding the human impact on our treasured ecosystems.
