School holidays: drypoint etching, 13-17yrs

Learn the fundamentals of etching in this hands-on workshop for beginner students. Using recycled milk cartons, you will experiment with mark making, line, tone and colour to create your own unique prints. This technique is environmentally friendly and will produce impressive results using Pine Street Creative Arts Centre’s rolling printing presses. 

Guided by an experienced instructor, this workshop provides a beginner-friendly introduction to etching, ideal for youth aged 13-17. You’ll go home with everything you create, including your custom prints.

All materials are provided. No prior experience is necessary, just come equipped with some ideas for subject matter, perhaps even some drawings or photographs to use as reference throughout the class. 

  • Small class size: maximum 8 students 

  • Level: designed for beginner level students 13+

  • Wear: comfortable clothing and enclosed shoes 

  • Bring: yourself – all materials provided
