In this playful session, kids imagine and build a tiny world using an easy, child-friendly 3D program (no prior experience needed).

Starting from a simple sphere, they’ll:

  • Shape craters, mountains and oceans with simple tools

  • Add fun details like rings, trees, domes or tiny buildings made from basic shapes

  • Choose colours and surface textures to give their planet personality

When the design is ready, we’ll prepare it for 3D printing and run it on our Bambu X1 printers. Along the way, kids get a gentle intro to how 3D printing works and how to create safely in a makerspace.

What you’ll take home:

  • A 3D printed design, limited to a print time of 3 hours

  • Your 3D prints will be produced after the workshop finishes. We’ll email you when they’re ready to collect. You can pick them up within 14 days of your workshop date from the Level 1 Customer Service Desk.

  • Cost: $40/$33 per child

  • Bookings and class size: Maximum 8 students – bookings are essential

  • Suitable for: Suitable for ages 9-12yrs

  • Experience level: This is a beginner workshop with no required knowledge
