Weaving the Colours of Country with Sancia Ridgeway
Using nature and photographs as inspiration, join in drop-in weaving workshops led by Gumbaynggirr textile artist Sancia Ridgeway. Their woven pieces that reflect the colours of Country will contribute to a communal display within the museum. All materials provided, for ages 8+.

Spinning Threads of Knowledge
Join Gumbaynggirr textile artist Sancia Ridgeway for a family-friendly workshop where you’ll learn how to spin yarn using simple techniques. Learn traditional techniques while discovering how First Nations peoples use yarn for fishing, storytelling, and creating pathways of knowledge known as songlines. All materials provided, for ages 8+.
