This exhibition consists of paintings by Roman Gryg, a Katoomba local who paints scenes of Katoomba, its streets and environs.

Katoomba is a popular historic town in The Blue Mountains that has a history as a tourist town from the 1900s. It was a popular honeymoon spot. It had iconic cafes like The Pargon. In recent times, artists, writers, dancers and musicians have moved to Katoomba, creating a bohemian atmosphere.

In his naïve paintings, Roman has captured the nostalgia of the little streets, churches and night life of Katoomba, having grown up in the town and escaped a troubled youth. This show focuses on summer scenes of Katoomba.
