Discover the unique rhythms and melodies of Middle Eastern music, from catchy beats to enchanting tunes. Each piece has its own special flavour or ‘cesni’, inviting you to groove along and feel the music in your heart.

Adem Yilmaz is a highly renowned percussionist of Kurdish origin. Adem has been involved as a key member in many popular Sydney bands such as the Aria-nominated bands, Zela Margossian Quintet and Eishan Ensemble, with whom he has toured internationally and nationally. Adem also performs with Masha's Legacy, The Catholics, Chris Cody and is involved in many studio projects such as Visions of Nar, an ABC commissioned album.

Isabel attained her masters degree in violin performance from the Sydney Conservatorium, her thesis and recital centred around Kurdish and Persian folk music. Isabel is a sought after freelance musician who regularly performs for different companies and ensemble groups. Isabel has a classical music background, enjoys orchestral playing and is also a passionate violin teacher who tutors around Sydney.

Presented by Mini Musica, family friendly morning music concerts for 0-6 year olds and their grown-ups. Performances are approximately 40 minutes to suit young families.
