Wednesdays to Saturdays, 3pm to 8pm Wednesday 15 April to Saturday 9 May
Exhibition open 3pm to 8pm
A retrospective of French-Australian photographer Christopher de Doby featuring images never seen before of some of the world’s most iconic historic sailing boats.
These magnificent super yachts were built around 1910 for royalty and wealthy industrialists to compete in major international regattas. They have been maintained regardless of cost and continue to display their graceful lines and enormous sails in spectacular events all over Europe. Included are Moonbeam (1903), Tuiga (1909), Hispania (built for the King of Spain in 1909) and many more.
The exhibition will also include some stunning black and white fine art nudes, exotic beauties who could well have inspired many of the figureheads featured on sailing craft throughout history.
Christopher’s latest photography exhibition will be held at Ellipsis Gallery at 41 Crown Street, Woolloomooloo in Sydney and runs from 15 April to 9 May 2026.
Opening night on Thursday 16 April from 6pm. RSVP essential for this event to cd@cdphotoart.com
