Push yourself to find the unique colour of your movement at a Palette Session.

What is a Palette Session?

  • Three hours of guided freestyle exercises to unlock the essence of your movement.

  • A community of movers who want to push and grow together.

  • Open to all dance styes and levels of experience (from street dance to ballroom, contact improvisation, folk dance and beyond).

Within street dance culture, a ‘session’ is a grassroot community event which brings together diverse dancers to improvise to music. The aim of a session is to dance together, share your craft with others and form tight-knit communities.

Palette Session was founded in South Korea by movement artist CHAEDO / Chae Hyeonseok while studying choreography at Paekche Institute of the Arts from 2018-2020. CHAEDO developed these experimental freestyle exercises to bridge gaps between classmates who practiced other street dance forms (e.g. krump, hip hop, breaking).
