Celebrate the opening of two exhibitions featuring new work by Australian artists Sarah Contos and Bianca Hester.

Sarah Contos: Eye Lash Horizon

‘Eye Lash Horizon’ is the first institutional survey of the concepts, media, and preoccupations that have shaped the practice of Sydney-based artist Sarah Contos over two decades. The exhibition features a series of expansive installations weaving together a complex tapestry of images and forms to provide a kaleidoscopic view of the human condition. Curated by Karen Hall.

Bianca Hester: Lithic Bodies

‘Lithic Bodies’ brings together new work by artist Bianca Hester developed during her long-term engagement with the Permian-Triassic 'extinction line' in the Illawarra coastal region. Responding to the deep temporality of this location and its complex material entanglements, the project enacts an expanded sculptural investigation spanning objects, images, video, text, and walking. Curated by Bronwyn Bailey-Charteris.

Save the date for an evening of celebration, as we open new exhibitions at UNSW Galleries.

Located at the entrance to the UNSW Art & Design Paddington campus, UNSW Galleries is just 5 minutes from Sydney's CBD. Find us on the ground level of F Block, next to the Arthouse Kitchen café. We welcome guests with wheelchairs and prams. Elevator access is available for the upper level, ask our friendly staff at reception to assist with directions.
