MYOB AccountRight Course for Beginners

The MYOB AccountRight course is for anyone wanting to learn how to use MYOB to manage accounting records for small to medium businesses on a day-to-day basis.

This MYOB AccountRight course will teach you the basics of BAS completion and train you in using the MYOB Community Forum to find help and solutions.

This course is taught by an MYOB Certified Consultant, who will get you current in MYOB and manage your books expertly. The tutor will also discuss the MYOB Cloud Accounting software (AccountRight) and its evolution from MYOB V.21.

Learning outcomes

By the end of this MYOB AccountRight course, you will have enhanced your career prospects by:

  • Purchase items for a business in AccountRight

  • Enter payments for purchases

  • Apply customer payments to open invoices

  • Work with the inventory in AccountRight

  • Introduction to payroll and STP ready

  • Reconcile AccountRight data against company bank statements

  • Work with the reporting system in AccountRight

  • Understand how AccountRight is set up and works with the GST

  • Set up and complete a Business Activity Statement (BAS)

  • Use the MYOB Community Board

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable

This MYOB AccountRight course will be most beneficial if you have a basic understanding of bookkeeping principles. You may consider completing our Bookkeeping & BAS Preparation Course for Beginners before this one. This is recommended, but not a prerequisite.

Additional information

Please note the following:

  • A 30-minute lunch break will take place halfway through the class. Students are encouraged to bring their own lunch, alternatively, there are cafes and takeaway restaurants nearby.
