The Shop Gallery is excited to present Vessels & Vehicles, a collaborative exhibition featuring the vibrant paintings of Melissa Guest and the handcrafted ceramics of Claudia Gunning. The show runs from 7 to 12 May 2026.

Melissa Guest brings her bold, geometric and colour driven style to three distinct collections: Harbourscapes, Vesselscapes, and Carscapes. Her Harbourscapes take inspiration from the expansive Sydney Harbour, integrating the bustling movement of ferries, tankers & iconic Sydney locations. Her Vesselscapes explore the ambience of popular restaurant settings, featuring vibrant floral still lifes and vessels nestled amongst elements of the indoor environment. Finally, her unique Carscapes highlight iconic, classic vehicles set against textured and familiar backgrounds. These collections invite the viewer to contemplate nostalgic memories, a deep connection to place and an appreciation for the often unnoticed details of the surrounding environment.

Complementing these vibrant paintings are Claudia Gunning’s handcrafted, functional ceramics. Her collection features everyday "vessels” including bowls, cups, and plates which are finished with organic textures, simple glazes, and colourful details.
