Principal editor and trainer, Julie Shannon, will teach you to draft clear professional media releases that get the pickup they deserve. This course uses real examples from the government, corporate, and not-for-profit sectors.

This in-depth session with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and receive feedback on your work.

Who should attend: This course is great for early-career PR and Communication professionals, as well as individuals seeking to refresh their skills. You’re invited to share examples from your organisation to discuss during the session.

Meet our facilitator - Julie Shannon (Senior Editor and Trainer)

With a passion for words, ideas and teaching, Julie’s clocked up 20 years as a professional editor and corporate trainer.

 She’s worked with 40 government agencies and top ASX companies to create clear, credible and persuasive strategies, reports and business cases, media releases and communications content. She loves sharing these skills with others, helping more than 4,000 people improve the quality of their written work so far. 

 Julie is an approved NSW Government supplier and regularly works with agencies in planning, culture and health. Her other clients include global engineering consulting firms, national energy retailers and major Australian universities.
