  • Confidently shop for foundations, concealers & primer that best suit your skin tone, texture, and features

Course content

What will be covered in this makeup course?

  • Hygiene: basic steps to good makeup hygiene

  • Primers: what a primer can do for your foundation & skin tone

  • Concealers: using correct concealer/colour for pigmentation, rosacea, dark circles & acne

  • Foundation: selecting the correct colour & product

  • Setting powders: enhance the longevity of your makeup by adding a setting powder

  • Retail makeup purchasing: selecting makeup in makeup/retail stores that best suits your skin tone, features & age

This course is suitable for beginners, and those with some experience who want to develop their skills. It's the perfect introductory class for anyone considering a career in makeup artistry.

Course materials

What to bring to class

  • Headband

  • Your makeup bag and brushes ( if preferred, your tutor can supply brushes and makeup. However please bring these basics along – mascara, eye makeup remover, and moisturiser)

  • Magnified mirror if required (small general focus mirrors will be provided)

  • Notepad and pen, or tablet for taking notes

Additional information

Please note the following: 

  • If you would like to use false lashes during the class, these can be purchased directly from your tutor for a minimal cost.

  • If you don’t have some of these products, our teacher Kerry can also advise what best suits your skin type/age/the look you feel comfortable wearing.
