Sunday 13 April from 12pm to 2pm
This workshop was inspired by Golding's recent photographs featuring contemporary shields that were originally built as European fences.
The shield is a marker of memory, place, protection and family. The key outcome of this workshop is to ensure that participants develop a greater understanding about cultural identity and memory of space.
The participants will be guided by questions such as, "If your house was a shield, what would it look like? What would your family shield look like? Based on your memory, what do you see around your local environment?"
When: Sunday 13 April, 12pm to 2 pm
Where: Boomalli Aboriginal Artists Co-operative 55 - 59 Flood Street, Leichhardt, NSW, 2040
