Monday 13 April from 9am to 3pm
Kids and teens will learn how to crochet to make their own accessories in this fun workshop! Crochet is a great challenge for young minds, and the possibilities are endless when they know how to do the basic stitches.
In this workshop they will learn the basic and common stitches, how to hold the crochet hook, how to hold and work with the yarn and how to read crochet patterns. They will make some fun, funky wristbands and necklaces that they will be making for all their friends in no time. They will practice their new crochet skills to work on a small project like a bookmark or keyring, and then a drawstring pouch. There will be free time for the students to experiment and explore crochet to make their own creations, or to decorate what they have already made with beads, buttons, handmade pom poms and tassles.
This workshop is suitable for complete beginners, aged 9 years old and up. All tools and materials are provided.
