As such, Latin heavily influenced the development of modern Romance languages like Italian and French, and continues to influence English vocabulary, particularly in medical and legal fields. Participants will delve into the essentials of Classical Latin, gaining proficiency in key verbs, nouns, and adjectives through captivating narratives detailing the fortunes of Lucius Caecilius Iucundus, his wife Metella and their household shortly before the eruption of Vesuvius in AD 79.
