Friday 21 February from 6pm to 11pm
In the hollowed-out futures of Detroit, trio HiTech – meeting through an amateur porn star – hatched a plan to shatter the self-seriousness of stale club culture. They drew inspiration from the city's chaotic dance floors, where hip-hop, house, techno, and Detroit’s own mutant-fusion genre Ghetto-tech merged in perfect harmony and ran the weave to destroy the ego and self.
We are pleased to present HiTech for their debut Sydney show at The Vanguard on 21 February.
HiTech have locked down Paris Fashion Week, Boiler Room, Berghain and The Lot Radio. They count among their fans DJ Assault, Earl Sweatshirt, Nia Archives & Show Me The Body. Their booty-shaking takeover of the club is going well, we think.
Supported by Naarm-Melbourne based Baschoe, a live set from cloak-and-dagger duo BAYANG (tha Bushranger) and Sevy, a premiere of DJ DINERS CLUB’s footwork live set, and a Detroit homage from ealing.
