Wednesday 15 October from 7pm to 10pm
Milk Thistle Salmon Blush, a psychedelically minimal spectacle, and the eighth release from Melbourne/Berlin artist Gregor, arrives October 10. On October 15, he brings the record to Sydney with a special performance at The Vanguard.
Disparate elements with double meanings coalesce into a whole, forming a work that explores preoccupation, communication, time, conflict, wishes, lust, ephemerality, the psyche, environmental catastrophe, escapism, the truth, awakening, fear, temptation, yearning, mysterious signals, and distant souls.
Since first emerging with Thoughts & Faults (2016) and his acclaimed debut Silver Drop (2018), Gregor has carved a path through Australia’s underground, balancing sly experimentalism with acerbic pop. His 2020 opus Destiny drew praise from NME, Rolling Stone, and MTV, while Satanic Lullabies (2024) earned another Music Victoria Award nomination. Along the way he’s appeared at festivals like Golden Plains, Dark Mofo, Rising, and The Others Way (NZ).
