Gordon Bennett: Trademark Exhibition

A Secondary Eye and FireWorks Gallery presents Gordon Bennett: Trademark, an exhibition that brings together significant works created between 1990–2005 to examine one of the artist's most enduring ideas: authorship.
Developed in collaboration with the Estate of Gordon Bennett, the exhibition is accompanied by a catalogue essay by Simon P. Wright; Assistant Director at Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art. The exhibition explores Bennett's lifelong engagement with appropriation, authorship, copyright, identity and the circulation of images, revealing how meaning continually shifts through context, repetition and language.
