Learn the artform of joke-writing with the Sydney Comedy School!
We have over 300 Google Reviews, we've helped thousands of people discover stand-up comedy, meet new people and be more confident on stage.
This is Sydney's longest-running monthly stand-up comedy class, running since 2022.
Note: *****This class is free for anyone who has a ticket to our show afterwards - The Stand Up Comedy Championships*****
How it works
Join us for a fun introduction to stand-up comedy.
Each month you'll explore a different stand-up comedy technique, so returning attendees will always learn something new.
You'll write your own jokes, learn techniques used by professional comedians, and workshop your ideas in a relaxed, supportive environment.
After the class
Sit back and enjoy the Sydney Stand-Up Comedy Championships, where you'll watch Sydney's newest comedians compete live.
Couples are welcome! We usually get quite a few people coming to the class for their date night.
Most class attendees hang out with each other during the show, making this a great experience if you're attending solo and looking to meet some new people.
What you should bring
Please bring a smartphone or notepad so you can write jokes!
The fine print
This class is free for anyone attending the Sydney Stand-Up Comedy Championships immediately afterwards.
