Start your English learning journey with this Beginner English course designed to help you communicate more confidently in daily life.

This course is ideal for learners who already have a basic understanding of English and want to improve their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in a supportive and practical environment.

In each class, you’ll practise using English in real-life situations — such as introducing yourself, asking questions, understanding conversations, and expressing your needs clearly. Lessons are interactive and step-by-step, helping you build confidence at your own pace.

You’ll also develop a better understanding of Australian culture and everyday communication, supporting you to feel more comfortable living, working or studying in Australia.

Learning outcomes

By the end of this Beginner English course, participants will have developed practical skills and knowledge in areas such as:

  • Communicating more confidently in everyday situations

  • Understanding simple spoken English in conversations

  • Using basic sentence structures with improved accuracy

  • Expanding vocabulary for daily life, work and community settings

  • Reading and understanding simple texts such as signs, messages and short passages

  • Writing basic sentences, messages and short texts

  • Developing English skills to support employment, further study and community participation
