Saturday 28 March from 7:30pm to 8:40pm
This captivating recital traces the evolution of the flute across centuries, from the elegance of Marin Marais’ Les Folies d’Espagne, to the shimmering colours of Eugène Bozza’s Image.
The solo flute spotlight intensifies with the bold theatricality of Luciano Berio’s Sequenza, before giving way to the sparkling charm of Pierre Sancan’s Sonatine. The evening culminates in the lyrical and powerful Flute Sonata, Op. 94 by Sergei Prokofiev.
