Belgian-International pianist-composer Daniel Verstappen returns to the Sydney Opera House following his acclaimed 2024 debut in the Utzon Room. Known for blending classical elegance with cinematic sounds, Daniel performs alongside Melbourne-based violinist Yena Choi, one of Australia’s most versatile and in-demand musicians.
Their programme features Daniel’s evocative original compositions, modern classical works and reimagined film music, creating an immersive sonic journey that bridges cultures, genres and emotional storytelling.
Daniel has toured globally, performing at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center and the Philharmonie Luxembourg, while Yena’s career spans major orchestras and collaborations with artists such as Hans Zimmer, Ed Sheeran and the BBC Concert Orchestra.
