Thursday 30 October from 7pm to 8pm
Daily Toll is an ongoing experiment by self-taught musician, poet/artist Kata Szász-Komlós alongside collaborator Jasper Craig-Adams and new addition Tom Stephens.
With unmistakable charm, Daily Toll is known to conjure a unique kind of sonic magic. Hard to define by traditional genre expectations but harkening to a folk song intimacy, post-punk dynamics and the artful poeticism of an adjacent Flying Nun legacy; deceptively simple instrumentation leaves room for an earnest presence and an undeniable emotional resonance by songs that remain as open questions.
Their debut album A Profound Non-Event, released on London label Tough Love Records, sold out in 12 days and was re-pressed in the space of two months. Daily Toll has just returned from their first overseas tour and are emboldened by the energetic exchange between audience/art and the sheer love of the craft.
Tickets are free, available via ballot only.
