Step into the enchanting world of tunnel books, where history, art, and creativity unite to craft mesmerising three-dimensional scenes. In this hands-on workshop, we will explore the origins and evolution of tunnel books, tracing their roots to the Renaissance and the wonders of the camera obscura.

What you’ll learn:

  • How to use essential materials, including paper, cutting tools, and adhesives

  • Step-by-step guidance on assembling layers and designing intricate, three-dimensional scenes

  • The rich history and artistry that make tunnel books so captivating

Key details:

  • No drawing skills are required. All materials will be provided, including a set of illustrations to colour yourself with watercolours or coloured pencils. You’ll take home plenty of leftovers to continue creating more books at your leisure.

  • Enjoy complimentary tea, coffee, and biscuits during the session.

Important information:

  • Suitable for beginners with basic crafting skills (cutting, folding, measuring).

  • No prior bookbinding experience is required, but confidence with sharp tools and the ability to follow instructions are essential.

  • To be eligible for Wild Binder refresher prices, you must have taken the course before and have an updated membership.
