Thursday 28 November from 9:30am to 12:30pm
When someone discloses experiencing sexual, domestic or family violence, your response is critical to their recovery and decisions about what to do next.
This workshop supports individuals to form a framework to provide a compassionate and supportive response to survivors of trauma.
Our Connect Sydney program offers free skills and capacity building opportunities for community, not-for-profit, charitable and other social purpose organisations that operate in or service the City of Sydney’s local area.
This training is primarily for organisations that support and provide services to children, young people, families and communities experiencing or at risk of vulnerability within the City of Sydney local government area.
If you work or volunteer with our community, the incidental conversations you have can be an important opportunity to help support people who’ve experienced abuse and prevent domestic and family violence. You’ll learn about intimate partner and family violence and its impacts, how to identify situations of domestic and family violence and respond with compassion. You’ll also learn how to have supportive conversations with those impacted by domestic violence and services that can help.
The 3-hour face to face workshop is facilitated by Full Stop Australia.
Registration is essential.
