Phoenix Collective are returning to the Gallery by popular demand in 2024 after showcasing their versatility and dynamic repertoire last October.

This May, Phoenix Collective Quartet will present a program of contemporary classics arranged for string quartet. The much-loved music of popular artists such as the Beatles, Queen, Radiohead and Taylor Swift will be given a new twist through the beautiful sounds of classical strings. From soulful ballads to up-tempo chart-toppers, Phoenix Collective’s music and energetic performance style will have the audience on its feet.

Known for their innovative approach to performance and their eclectic repertoire choices, Phoenix Collective has carved a unique niche in the Australian musical landscape. Their recent performances include collaborations with composer and didjeridu player William Barton and Tibetan musician Tenzin Choegyal. 2024 will see them touring nationwide for Musica Viva Australia.

Doors open at 6pm. Until 7.30pm, you are welcome to buy light refreshments from the Members Lounge and pop-up bar and enjoy a private exhibition viewing.

Seating will be concert style.
