The Central Coast or Wanangine, has long been the playground of those who have lived in Warrane (Sydney). Waterways dance between us, they divide us and join us: the mythic and mighty Hawkesbury is both our border and our nexus. We share sandstone plateaus and cliff edges, ocean currents and clay soils, our unique flora and fauna, the Blue Mountains as our shared backdrop, the Pacific Ocean our viewpoint.
This gathering of six Coast artists reflects and explores, in dirt, ochres and timbers, the nature of these landscapes and their inhabitants.
Works in porcelain, timber, clay, metals, glass, stone, paint and recycled materials from Marilyn Creery, Daniel Damiano, Maksim Kuznetcov, Ann-Maree Morgan, Gretchen Miller and Naomi Veitch.
The Shop Gallery, 112 Glebe Point Rd, Glebe, Sydney.
September 25-September 30, 11am-6pm Opening September 26, 6-8pm.
