Jiangxi ceramics is one of the most outstanding representative of the Chinese ceramic culture. From the world’s first pottery container created by ancient Xianrendong people dating back 20,000 years ago to the peak of the Chinese porcelain achieved during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Jiangxi ceramics has been renowned across China and beyond.

This exhibition, co-organised by Jiangxi Museum and China Cultural Centre in Sydney consists of various parts, ‘From Pottery to Porcelain’, ‘Blue-and-White Porcelain’, ‘White Gold’ and ‘Endless Evolution’ narrating the story of Jiangxi ceramics and demonstrating the spirit of Jiangxi ceramics of striving for excellence, learning from the best and endless innovation.
