Sunday 1 December from 10am to 12:30pm
Unlock your creativity and explore the ancient technique of sgraffito decoration in this fun workshop. ‘Sgraffito' is an Italian term meaning ‘to scratch’. Using different coloured layers, this technique is used to carve illustrations into a clay surface. Under the guidance of an experienced tutor you will learn how to carve designs into clay forms and experiment with slips and underglazes.
You will be given guidance to create and decorate your pieces and will finish the class with 1-2 sgraffito decorated bowls.
