Wednesday 20 August from 10am to 10:45am
Join Nisaluk Chantanakom, illustrator of the CBCA-shortlisted A Teaspoon of Light and the recently released A Lemon for Safiya, for a special Book Week workshop.
Dive into the wonderful world of picture books as Nisaluk Chantanakom shares insights into storytelling, world-building, and character creation, drawing inspiration directly from her own works, A Teaspoon of Light and A Lemon for Safiya. You’ll get to listen to the creative journey behind these books, which will be followed by an exciting, hands-on drawing demonstration. Get ready to bring your own characters to life as you learn practical tips and techniques!
This interactive workshop is suitable for children aged 8-12 years. Please bring your best pencil, an eraser and three of your favourite colours in any medium.
This event will be held online via Zoom. You will be sent the link to join the session with your booking confirmation. For help with joining and participating in Zoom Webinars: Joining and participating in Zoom Webinars.
