Mondays, Tuesdays and Saturdays, 9am to 4pm Wednesdays to Fridays, 9am to 5pm Tuesday 7 October to Monday 20 October
In October 2025, Benjamin Shine makes his Sydney debut with 3FOLD, presented as a major showing at Art2Muse Gallery in Woollahra, with select works also displayed at the InterContinental Sydney Double Bay and Fairfax & Roberts luxurious, new atelierin the CBD.
Running Tuesday 7 – Monday 20 October 2025, the exhibition showcases three entirely new bodies of work in contrasting materials and formats, alongside a small selection of his iconic tulle works. While two tulle pieces anchor the show as a bridge to his international reputation, the majority of the works have never before been publicly exhibited.
The exhibition highlights a bold shift in Shine’s practice:
Tulle Paintings – narrow lengths of coloured tulle bonded to canvas, layered to create painterly effects with sculptural tactility.
Fold Series – laser-cut metal mesh reliefs magnifying the fold as both a structural gesture and tonal language.
Nexus – resin-infused pleated felt works, transformed into solid sculptural forms that explore balance, light and shadow.
Internationally-celebrated, British-born artist and designer Benjamin Shine has established a unique presence at the intersection of art, fashion and design. Renowned for collaborations with Beyoncé, Chloe x Halle, and luxury fashion houses including Givenchy under Riccardo Tisci and Maison Margiela with John Galliano, Shine’s signature medium — a single length of tulle — has graced runways, couture collections and cultural institutions worldwide. His commissions span Bergdorf Goodman, Google, MTV, VOGUE and Refinery29, while clients include HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco and the America’s Cup.
Shine’s most defining couture moments include a limited-edition tulle-infused sportswear line for Givenchy (2014–15) and the tulle-face trench coat for Maison Margiela’s Spring/Summer 2017 Artisanal Collection, unveiled at Paris Couture Fashion Week.
