Authentic Indian Street Food Workshop

Embark on a culinary journey to the bustling streets of India in this immersive, hands-on Indian Street Food masterclass.

You'll discover the secrets behind the unique flavours and textures of Indian street food dishes as you dive into the world of 'chaat'.

Your tutor, passionate cook and storyteller Bhavna (known as The Modern Desi), will guide you through every step of the process, ensuring you feel comfortable and confident to recreate these delicious dishes at home.

Throughout the workshop, Bhavna will weave tales of the fascinating history and cultural significance of Indian street food, giving you a deeper understanding of the culinary traditions that have shaped this beloved cuisine.

Not only will you learn how to make everything from scratch - Bhavna will also share insider cooking tips, kitchen tricks, and shortcuts to make preparation easier. 

The tantalising menu for this workshop showcases traditional favourites, including:

  • Masala Chai - spiced Indian tea, made from scratch

  • Dahl Puri - stuffed crispy pooris

  • Vada Pav - deep-fried potato dumplings with bread

  • Chole - traditional chickpea curry

  • Mango OR Strawberry Lassi - a popular yoghurt-based drink

  • Two types of Chutneys that enhance any Indian street food dish

With hands-on demonstrations and expert guidance, you'll gain the skills and confidence to whip up a storm in your own kitchen. You'll leave with recipes, as well as techniques you've learned, to impress friends and family with your mouth-watering Indian street food creations!
