Come for the therapy. Stay for the breakdown.

Harriet Gillies is back with her unique strain of joyful nihilism with this short and sharp experimental comedy. Anticipated Collapse is set inside a therapy office that jumps timelines. Power shifts instantly – therapist becomes client, couple becomes strangers, everyone is both healer and having a menty-b. Each jump pulls us deeper into the cycles of burnout, breakdown and brain rot. It’s funny, chaotic and a little too familiar. Together we will face the absurdity of trying to keep it together in late-stage capitalism: an age where no one is really OK, regardless of what side of the couch you sit on.

Writer & Performer Harriet Gillies. Performer Nitin Vengurlekar. Sound by Marcus Whale. Movement Consultant Amrita Hepi. Outside Eye Tessa Leong. Executive Producer Unfunded Empathy.

This production is part of The Flying Nun by Brand X, Season 10 'Supply & Demand'.
