Every day, 11am to 5pm Tuesday 1 October to Saturday 2 November
The Australian/American artist Totman’s current investigation of gouache paintings and monotype on paper expands his expert use of detail and sheer layers of colour.
Totman’s attention to detail and his control of both printmaking and painting are showcased in the abstract works displayed. They are alive with glowing colour and animated movement.
Driven by a boundless communion with nature, Totman reveals his admiration for and a kinaesthetic response to the certainty of the seasons, the cycles of tides and moon. The abstract field implies an expansive character that is simultaneously enveloping and breathing, pulsating and muted.
Join us for the panel discussion, Saturday 26 October, 2:45pm to 4pm.
